Educational projects with the Music of the Plants
We are surrounded by trees and plants, often without realizing they are our friends. Opening ourselves for the intelligence of plants and alliances with nature, changes our view on life forever.
School Program: Friends with Plants
In collaboration with other artists and teachers, we offer schoolprograms with the music of the plants. In this program we’re present at your school for a week. In the program the children research plant music in the classroom for a week and get offered extra activities, for instance, studying scientific information on plant intelligence and communication between plants, painting, making music with plants, creative writing and more. The lessons are designed to be integrated in the normal lesson program. The project will be adjusted to the specific context of your school, in collaboration with the teachers or coordinators of the school! Workshop with Plant Music
Are you interested in a workshop at your school or festival? There are different workshops we offer:
Making music with plants: Children can bring their instrument, but also children who don’t play an instrument yet, can join with their voice or instruments that the teacher of the workshop supplies.
Discover your school garden: Go for a guided walk in the school garden and get to know your plants better. There is also a teacher’s guide for this activity so you can do this independently.
Art activities with the plants and the music of the plants: A workshop that can be done indoors or outdoors with activities to enter in a deeply felt connection with the plants and a guided art activity (visually and musically).
Musical Theater Performance with the plants as protagonists
A beautiful way to start or finish your school project is a musical performance with human and plant musicians together. For children between 4 and 9 years old, we offer a musical theater performance (see here for more information) and for older children we offer a concert with plants. Both performances have an interactive character: children themselves are invited to join in some parts of the show!
Build an Earth Telephone
A fun project that strikes people in the heart: a telephone to communicate with the Earth. We build an instrument that introduces us to methods that ancient peoples use to communicate with the Earth. Our Earth Telephone has buttons to dial Earth’s number, an area indicating what contribution you have to give for a phone call. And we use the music of the plants technology to listen through the receiver.. to listen to the voice of the Earth, through the music of a tree which is an anteanna of the Earth.
