Zigola Pioppo (Catharina Wartenbergh)

Zigola opens pathways, that are still rough and little explored in order to bring people to a next stage.

Zigola’s work is connected to plants, creativity, music and technology. She has an educational background in science (Technology and Society from the University of Technology of Eindhoven) and as an artist and singer at academies, the Conservatory of Amsterdam and with private teachers. In 2008, her first picture book was published for children 3-8 years of age, and for which she composed the jazz songs. This was the start of her career as a singer in festivals and schools. see here: Performances for Children . Since 2013, Zigola works as a jazz singer and she does projects for schools and private organizations with the Music of the Plants, a technology that translates biological signals of plants into musical notes. Zigola performs with varied jazz musician for her project: Nature Inspired Jazz and with Dario Compagnoni she forms the duo Aañi with whom she brings nature inspired organic and electronic music to festivals.
