Zigola Pioppo (Karin Wartenbergh)

I open pathways, that are still rough and little explored in order to bring people to a next stage.

This I believe to be my element which I recognize in the work I do. As an artist, teacher and as a healer.

My work is connected to plants, creativity, healing, music and technology. I was born in the Netherlands, where I graduated as a MSc at the University of Technology, specialising in human-technology interaction. During my studies I worked and performed as a singer of different popular styles. I am especially fond of jazz as well as soul music, which led me to follow lessons at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Another passion I have is visual art, and also in that area I found the MIX Academy in Amsterdam as part of my education.

My working career after University started as a business consultant in the field of automation and sustainable energy solutions. Even though I have always really enjoyed my studies at the University of Technology, I noticed after some years that I wasn’t thriving so much in a business environment, always mainly relying on my rational mind. I am convinced I have finished my studies as an engineer with pleasure, thanks to the fact I worked as a singer, I had several music groups, I started becoming active as a spiritual healer and had ample spare time for painting and other creativity in that period. For this reason after some years of working in a business environment, I switched to working in the field of art, music and healing.

About my art.. in The Netherlands I have created two musical storytelling performances that are precious to me and which still inspire me today. I am currently performing with my third show, in which I collaborate with plants and plant music ( see Performances for Children) For my art I am inspired by new generations and by futuristic ideals I envision for the development of people and planet.

About my healings.. It was during my time at University that I started my spiritual awareness, applying it in healing sessions, learning about Universal healing methods. I started reading about spirituality and visited a beautiful Buddhist Meditation Center in Kandy, Sri Lanka twice in my life, which both times has opened my awareness of energy, past lives and building blocks of the universe. Moments of spiritual awakening, as many of us have gone through in their own way. Thanks to these openings I started perceiving angelic beings and elementals in nature, also called Nature Spirits. I studied IET, a healing method collaborating with angels, which has always been very precious to me. My spiritual curiosity led me to the community of Damanhur in Northern Italy, where I live up till today. I have studied at the Spiritual Healer school of Damanhur, where I got activated as a prana healer. This is the only healing activation that I use at this moment, next to the Voice and Plantmusic healing method that has come to me in a natural way, a method I developed myself because it fits to the mix of characteristics that are unique of my being.

It was at Damanhur that my communication with the Plant World has become more evident. Plant communication is one of the fields of knowledge that is being taught at the University of Damanhur. At this moment I am one of the teachers of this course. Here in Italy I live in close relation with nature, surrounded by forests, such as the Sacred Forest of Damanhur, and national parks, such as Monti Pelati. Apart from the teachings of Damanhur, I have met several shamans from all over the world. Most of them I have met here in Italy, since Damanhur is an important spiritual center in the world, we have many special visitors here. The shamans that synchronically came my way told me about the healing capacity of my voice, which led me to curiously figuring out how that worked. Others have taught me how to hear the melodies of the trees, others how to call the nature spirits and ask their collaboration to heal people. Yet others say they opened my voice so the Divinity could further teach me. Some of the shamans have become my friends and they are still in my life with their generous teachings about how I can use my voice for healing, how I can speak the language of light and nature spirits and how I can channel divine energies in sacred places. In the Spiritual Healing School of Damanhur I have learned what it means to be a spiritual healer. How to empower people to heal themselves, how to guarantee a safe healing space, or a so called healing hygiene, and how our thoughts are creating reality through the quantum field.

Also in Damanhur I learned about the Music of the Plants and for many years now I have participated in experiments with the Music of the Plants, with musicians and health professionals. I have done several concerts with the plants, using different plant music technology, together with other human musicians. In the menu About the healing you can find more information on this technology.

Thanks to all these events and people in my life I have learned that my voice is a channel with nature. When I start singing, it is as if opening a communication channel. I receive messages and also healing from the elements (I love singing with rivers, lakes and seas for instance), from trees, plants and intelligences of different kinds in nature. As I have learned as a healer in the healing methods I have mentioned before, I have discovered that my voice for me is a high-tech instrument to shift energy, make space for light, dissolve energy blocks and receive messages for people I do healing sessions for.

I feel that I can contribute with my voice to helping people, who choose so, to raise their frequency and to heal and evolve. And with that, it’s emanating to others in their environment. It’s like opening a door, and helping people to open doors inside themselves.
